PRAA Board Spotlight on... Monica Simon O'Neill
We thought it would be fun and hopefully a bit interesting to do a feature on the members of the PRAA board. You've seen the names and perhaps met a few of us over a drink at the SOS alumni tent but how much do you really know? (or want to?)

SUTABULL - A Note From Ron Schulz
It must be summer. I can hear the Phantom Regiment rehearsing on the Rockford College campus as I am writing this article (at home). Welcome to another addition of Encore!, the official newsletter for the Phantom Regiment Alumni. There is a lot in the works for Alumni Reunions and other business, so let's get down to work.

From the Executive Director

Well, ready or not, the summer is here! There really isn't an off season anymore, so time has been really flying by. The corps is almost done with its spring training and preparing for our dress rehearsal, which is taking place on Sunday June 14th at 8:30pm at Winnebago High School.

Now in 2009, the corps stands in the shadow of its first solo Drum Corps International First Place trophy, glides across the field in magnificent white uniforms, performs a brass book penned by J.D. Shaw and one of our fellow 1999 alumni - Nick Scotella - creates the drill!

Remembering Bob Stolberg
By Ron Schulz
This is at least my third attempt to write this article. I never thought it would be this tough. When my students tell me that they are struggling with an essay, I rarely cut them much slack. I've already given them the tools to write their paper, including the sources to find their research, the number of pages to write, and all of the goals they need to achieve. But here, coming up with the right words to say about how much Bob Stolberg meant to me and to the Phantom Regiment Organization has been a challenge.
