Drew Solomonson is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Arts Administration. Born in Central Illinois, Drew began his marching years as a member of the euphonium section for the Phantom Regiment. He marched a total of four seasons in 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2005. After aging out with the corps in 2005, he began teaching both drum and bugle corps and marching band, working with the Phantom Regiment visual staff from 2006-2014. Drew has also been a visual designer for Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps as well as Spirit of Atlanta. He is excited to return to the Phantom Regiment in 2017.
Over the past 10 years, Drew has worked with several BOA regional finalists including Hillgrove HS, Lassiter HS, and Collins Hill HS. He serves as an adjudicator and clinician for various competitions and festivals across the country, and is also an active drill designer, having written for high schools and universities for the last 12 years. From 2008-2010, Drew served as the Program Director and Designer for Capella Winter Guard, the 2008 WGI Independent A Class Bronze Medalists, and 2009 WGI Open Class Finalists.
Drew currently lives in Canton, GA with his wife Sara and daughter Ellen. He works full time as the Manager of the Broyles Arts Center at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA.
