JONATHAN PROBST completed his bachelor’s degree in Music Education at California Baptist University in Riverside, California. Drum Corps International attracted his attention at a young age and he marched with Pacific Crest from 2009-2011 on trumpet and baritone. He then went on to play trumpet for the Madison Scouts in 2012 and finished his time marching with the Phantom Regiment from 2013-2015, serving the corps as the horn sergeant and trumpet section year during his age out season. He is currently performing as a trumpet player at Disneyland and is a member of the Top Shelf Brass Band, which recently did a five week tour of Europe through the Summer of 2017.
He has worked collaboratively with exceptional visual teams in Southern California while serving as a visual instructor for Chino High School, Upland High School, Ayala High School, Rowland High School, and Alta Loma High School. He also spent his last two Summers as a visual and brass instructor for Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps. He is currently serving as the Brass Caption Head for Rowland High School and Visual Caption Head for the Alta Loma Entertainment Corps. He is also a freelance drill writer and choreographer in Southern California and will be taking his talents to the indoor scene this Winter as the drill writer and choreographer for Canyon Springs High School.
Jonathan is ecstatic to be returning home to the Regiment and is looking forward to contributing to their long history of excellence and passion!
