Robin (Hartowicz) Lanning was elected to the Phantom Regiment Board of Directors in July 2012.
She owns Floof, LLC, a marketing consulting company specializing in project management and strategy for small businesses, solo-prenuers, and non-profits.
Robin was a member of the Phantom Regiment color guard from 2002-03 and later toured with the corps’ souvenir team from 2004-06. She is on the board’s development committee, which creates programs to raise funds for the organization. Also, with her background in print and merchandise design, she assists with the organization’s graphic design needs.
In addition to her duties with Phantom Regiment, Robin is a former President and current member of the board of directors for JCI Indianapolis (aka The Jaycees), a non-profit, volunteer, young professionals group focused on creating lasting impact in the Indianapolis community through service, development and connection programs.
Her brother and father both marched with the Cavaliers and her mother marched in the Golden Knights, a winter guard out of Chicago. She truly has a drum corps family as her parents met because of color guard/drum corps, her brother currently works for Drum Corps International and her father is President of the Cavaliers’ Board of Directors. Robin says, “When we were born, my mother swore that her children would never march drum corps. Be careful what you wish for.”
Robin, who lives in Indianapolis, has a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Ball State University and a master’s degree in organizational communication from Southeastern Louisiana University.
