Phantom Regiment finished second in brass, percussion and visual performance as well as GE music Saturday night en route to a third-place finish at the DCI World Championships in Foxboro, Mass. The corps also was presented the Spirit of Disney Award as the most entertaining Division I corps.
John Bryant, the longtime drummer for Ray Charles and a friend of PR percussion arranger Paul Rennick, stopped by rehearsal at Wylie High School near Dallas. He met with the percussionists (click on link to see picture) and was to speak to the corps after rehearsal.
Phantom Regiment had a show Tuesday on Boise State University's infamous blue field. The corps spent Monday practicing on the field. Reports from the corps say it's much bluer in person than on TV! Click here for links to photos from each day.
