Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, the Audition Camp for Brass & Conductors (November 26-28) has been moved to Aldrich Middle School in Beloit, WI. There is no change of location for the Guard & Percussion camp in December.

The Phantom Regiment organization would like to congratulate long time percussion staff member, Marty Hurley, for being inducted into the Louisiana Music Educators Association’s Hall of Fame. The ceremony to take place on Saturday November, 20, 2010.
Marty’s involvement with the Regiment began in 1976, when he became the percussion arranger and caption head. Except for a few years off, he held that position until 1992. Since 2006, Marty is a special guest clinician at our annual drum camp.
Marty is being recognized by the Louisiana Music Educators Association for his work and dedication achieved while teaching at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans. He’s been there for over 36 years.
The Northern Illinois University School of Music invites you to a unique performance by the NIU Wind Symphony, which will feature Dr. Thomas Bough as conductor, composer and tuba soloist. Bough will be performing his largest composition to date, “Suite Tuba”, a 14-minute multi-movement work for solo tuba and band. Thomas is a Yamaha Performing Artist, the Director of the Huskie Marching Band at Northern Illinois University, and a Phantom Regiment alumni from the summers of 1986 and 1987.
The concert will be webcast in HD from the NIU School of Music web page at www.niu.edu/music. The event will take place at 8 p.m. CST Wednesday, Nov. 17.
Regiment Phans in the Chicago area are welcome to attend the concert in person. It will be held at Boutell Concert Hall in the Music Building on the campus of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill. Admission and parking are free.
