Alicia Conrad
Visual Instructor
Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Alicia became a member of the Phantom Regiment in 2005 as a trumpet player. She marched 2005, 2006, 2007, and aged out in 2008 with the DCI World Championship corps. A recipient of the Diane Thompson-Wells Scholarship, and a 2008 nominee of the Mark Glasscoe Member of the Year Award, Alicia continued her performing career as a cast member in the production Odyssey: Brass Angels – an all-female brass theatre show utilizing elements of marching, dance,acting, vocal and brass performance. Alicia was part of the 2008 Odyssey 52-show tour of Japan, and a featured vocal and movement soloist.
Alicia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and previously taught Elementary Music and Choir in Richardson, Texas. Currently, Alicia is a Visual Instructor with the Marcus High School Band of Flower Mound, Texas. In her time at Marcus, the Band has been named the 2012 5A Texas State Champion, the 2012 Bands of America San Antonio Super Regional Champion, as well as received 5th Place at the 2013 Bands of America Grand National Championships. Alicia was also part of the Administrative Staff at Phantom Regiment in 2010, and was a Movement Specialist and Choreography Consultant for Forte Drum and Bugle Corps in 2012.
Alicia is the Assistant Director of Box 7 Ministries, based in Dallas, Texas. She also serves on the Box 7 Advisory Board, which oversees the local, national, and international work of the organization. Alicia now calls Flower Mound, Texas home, and is beginning to pursue a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling. Alicia is thrilled to be back with the Phantom Regiment, and is so grateful for the opportunity to join the Visual Staff and work with the outstanding members of the corps.
