High school musicians and vocalists from five Rockford Public Schools will perform “Visions of America” at 7:00pm on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Heartland Community Church.

Regiment’s brass caption head, Ryan Bybee will be one of the guest clinicians and conductors for the concert.

Please join us in supporting these young musicians and performers! This is a FREE concert, but you are encouraged to donate to the Item of the Month – Peanut Butter and Juice Boxes at the door. These items will be distributed to organizations and food pantries in the Rockford area.

The All-Star High School Music Celebration has been an annual tradition showcasing the talents of high school music students in the Rockford Public Schools District #205 for several years. The concert will showcase district band, orchestra, and choral students from each of the high schools within combined groups.

Clinicians/ guest conductors will work with the collective groups and then conduct at the performance for the night concert. Clinicians conducting the groups include: Timm Adams – Associate Professor of Music at Rockford College Performing Arts, Daniel Black – Rockford Symphony Youth Orchestra Conductor and Ryan Bybee – Phantom Regiment Brass Caption Head/Director of Bands at Collins Hill H.S. In addition, the orchestral performance will have a special guest orator, Winnebago County State Attorney Joseph Bruscato.

The community is encouraged to attend this special event.
