Brian Giddens
Color Guard Instructor
Brian Giddens has been a designer, choreographer, instructor, and consultant for high school marching bands, colorguards, winterguards, and drum and bugle corps for the last 24 years. Most recently, he served as the Director of Pope HS Guard Program from 2007-2013.
Over the course of his career in marching activities, Brian has directed, choreographed, or instructed such programs as Kennesaw Mountain HS, Chimeras Winterguard, Spirit of Atlanta, Carolina Crown, Crossmen, Magic of Orlando, and many others. He has also been involved in circuit administration and currently serves as the President of the Southern Association for Performance Arts.
Brian has a B.S. in Education from Middle Tennessee State University, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with Technology from Kennesaw State University, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership for Learning from Kennesaw State University.
When not judging, teaching or designing for colorguards, Brian is involved in educational administration and consulting, is a husband, and a father of two great kids! He, his wife Jennifer, and their two children, McKinley and Maddox, live in the metropolitan Philadelphia area.
