Current PR parent volunteers win DCI Vol of Year

Congrats to Naomi & Tom Piatek who were announced 2011 Volunteers of the Year by Drum Corps International!!!

Naomi & Tom were recognized for their outstanding volunteer work with the Jersey Surf as part of a group of parents dubbed the Surf-Six.

The Piatek’s son, Matt, is in his 4th and final year with the Regiment. Before that, Matt marched with Jersey Surf 2003 to 2007.

We can definitely vouch first hand for the phenomenal volunteer work that Tom & Naomi do, as they’ve been volunteering for the Regiment as well.

Naomi is currently in charge of our food program right now. Long time volunteer (and 2010 DCI Volunteer of the Year winner) Becky Nelson won’t be able to join us on the road for another couple weeks. So Naomi stepped in and is doing a fabulous job!!!

Jersey Surf and the Phantom Regiment are lucky to have the Piatek’s! Congrats to Naomi & Tom!!!
