DRUM CORPS BBQ BASH FEATURES LIVE PERFORMANCES

Live performances by several drum and bugle corps from across Texas highlight the 12th Annual Drum Corps BBQ Bash Saturday, May 6, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Doss Community Center in Northwest Houston.

The Bash, hosted by the Drum Corps Tigers of Texas, includes a full-course BBQ lunch from Lenox Catering, big-screen viewings of Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championships and dozens of prizes including DCI DVDs, movie passes and more.

Special guests this year include drum corps directors Patrick Seidling of Phantom Regiment, which will be feted for its 50th Anniversary during the Bash, and Jeff Fiedler of The Cavaliers.

Entertainment will be provided by Percussion One, Houston’s award-winning drum line which has garnered standing ovations performing for the Houston Rockets, Texans and Astros; and drum and bugle corps from several Texas cities: Gulf Coast Sound (Houston); Trinity (Seguin); Frontier (Dallas); Austin Stars (Austin); and Revolution (San Antonio).

Guests can join the fun and compete for prizes in several contests: “Fastest Drummer”, “Longest Note Held” and the “Color Guard Challenge.”

Advance tickets are $10 adults/$5 ages 12 and under and are available via phone (281-397-8124) or the Tigers Website:www.DrumCorpsTigers.org.

Tickets at the door (if available) will be $15 and $10.

The Drum Corps Tigers is a non-profit group dedicated to promoting drum corps and donates all Bash proceeds to Texas youths participating in a DCI drum corps.
