The Phantom Regiment family sends it deepest sympathies to the family of Bruce Borck, who passed away March 17 of a heart attack.
Bruce was an alumni of Norwood Park Imperials and continued to be a fan of drum corps throughout his lifetime. His son, Colin, was a low brass member in Phantom Regiment from 1997 through 2000 and his wife Joanne, also a drum corps veteran, continues to be a Regiment booster, wardrobe crew member and corps nurse. Both Bruce and Joanne have been active in the Royal Aires alumni corps as well. Daughter Alissa, though never a corps member, enjoyed cheering her parents and brother on at corps shows across the country.
Bruce was himself an outstanding baritone player in his day and was proud of his son’s membership in the legendary Regiment low brass line. Joanne tells us that each spring Bruce looked forward to hearing Phantom Regiment’s storied “Buick” section.

A private cremation will be held. The family requests that donations be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital in memory of Bruce.
