Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps is hiring Medical Team members for the 2024 season. Medical team members will be responsible for providing on-site medical support and care to our members during rehearsals and competitions throughout our national tour. Dates needed for coverage are 7/3/24-8/10/24. 

Flights to and from the corps will be covered (one in and one out), as well as food and housing. Any additional travel to and from the organization will be at the team member’s expense unless approved by the corps administration.

Responsibilities- include but not limited to:

  • Provide onsite care and management of activity and non-activity related injuries and illnesses including: prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation.
  • Apply dressings/bandages, tape, braces and splints in accordance to appropriate injury management.
  • Provide members with referrals to physicians as necessary.
  • Minimize risk of injury through awareness, education and ergonomic recommendations.
  • Provide functional assessment to determine a member’s readiness to return to full duty.
  • Must be familiar or become familiar with the job requirements, techniques, and training associated with the various aspects of performing arts.
  • Provide general health and nutrition education.
  • Work with the Physical therapist or Athletic Trainer to develop and implement exercise programs for injured members


  • Must be at least 22 years old
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have completed or be willing to complete SafeSport training
  • Must be able to travel with the corps throughout the summer
  • Relevant degrees/certifications in a medical-related field 
  • Relevant work experience, preferably working with a marching arts organization or youth sports team
  • Current CPR and AED certification 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

Work is of medium demand including occasional lifting/carrying of greater than 15 pounds, visual acuity, communication, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment. The following movements may be required to perform essential functions: sitting, standing, reaching, walking, running, twisting, climbing, balancing, stopping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
