The Phantomettes and The Raiders were staples in regional and national competiton color guard events through out the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, lasting until 1965.

In 1978 the organization re-entered the compeition color guard scene by joining the newly-formed WGI circuit. Led by John Brazale, the all-female guard had immediate success from 1978 through 1983 (taking the 1982 season off).

The corp also sponsored an indoor competition drum line from 1994 through 1997. Competing under the name “The Wheaters” for its first three seasons, then as Phantom Regiment in its last season, the line was quickly successful in the fledgling, but rapidly growing, percusion division of WGI.
