Phantom Regiment is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Earnhart as music coordinator.
” I’m thrilled that Jeremy will join us as music coordinator,” said Dan Farrell, Phantom Regiment ‘s program coordinator and corps director. “The work he has done – and continues to do – with his bands is a hint as to what he will be able to add here at the Regiment. Together with the other terrific designers we’ve assembled, I can’t wait to get started on the 2014 program. “
Earnhart is the director of fine arts for Arlington Independent School District in Texas. Previously, he held the same title for Irving ISD. He also was director of the national champion L.D. Bell High School band from 1998-2009.
” I’m very excited at the addition of Jeremy Earnhart to the music design team,” said Don Hill, who returns for his third season as brass arranger. Through my work with him when he was director at L.D. Bell and now, in his role as a consultant at Broken Arrow High School, I have found Jeremy to have a rare understanding of how to clarify and maximize the effect of a musical program. To put it more succinctly, he gets everyone to work together at their highest level. The staff and especially the members are really going to benefit from his involvement. “
Earnhart holds bachelor s and master s degrees in music education from University of North Texas and is midway through a doctoral program in education at Dallas Baptist University. He has been a consultant for the Cavaliers and continues to be a consultant for Broken Arrow (Okla.) High School, the 2011 BOA national champion.
” I am humbled for the opportunity to be part of the heritage, tradition and emotion which is uniquely Phantom Regiment, Earnhart said. Getting back in the saddle with the collaborative team of Don Hill and Bret Kuhn made this decision simple. Creating engaging music with good friends and an awesome ensemble is what it’ s all about! “
In addition to Hill returning as arranger, Christian Carichner will be back for his third season as brass caption head. Also returning to the staff for 2014 will be Dr. Andrea Brown, Luis Cardenas Casillas, Mason Daffinee, Jeremy Figlewicz, Brad Hughes, Patrick Phillips, Dr. Will Plenk, Dr. Andy Poor, and Taylor Sitzman, as well as new additions Jay Cook, Reggie Humphrey, Matt Petterson and consultant Gordon Henderson.
