CHARLESTON, W.Va. — When Phantom Regiment arrived at its rehearsal site (also the show site) at Laidley Field this morning, it encountered a challenge with the turf.

The artificial turf had somehow been scrunched up, and it was sticking out a few inches. This was going to be a problem not only for Regiment’s rehearsal but also for tonight’s Drums Across the Tri-State and all of the corps using props.

The stadium staff had trouble fixing the turf. No problem. Members of the Phantom Regiment looked at the situation and came up with a plan. It would take a bunch of them, but it worked perfectly. Check out this video of teamwork in action.

As the saying goes, “The show must go on!”

Tickets are still available at the stadium box office starting at 3 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.
