Phantom Regiment is extremely proud of the tremendous number of world-renowned percussion instructors and performers who have called our drum corps home. Our percussion training programs are developed and taught by some of the most accomplished percussionists in the activity.
Percussion Training Opportunities are designed for experienced and aspiring performers from all high school & college levels.
HOW TO REGISTER
Camp fees include instruction, learning materials, meals, a PR Academy t-shirt, and lodging*. *Lodging is provided in Evansville and Rockford. Akron is a commuter camp, students can provide their own housing if needed.
Even if you don’t know anyone at the Phantom Regiment Academy camp, get ready for the time of your life! And if you bring a friend along, you’ll have double the fun sharing this incredible experience together.
Whether you’re in your first or fourth year playing, our percussion training sessions will leave you motivated and confident in your playing. All sessions focus on the Phantom Regiment approach to percussion technique, with instruction ranging from basic to intermediate fundamentals. You’ll receive one-on-one coaching, work on battery exercises, and get an inside look at the current season with the Phantom Regiment percussion ensemble.
Areas of concentration include:
• Breakdown of the Regiment technical approach
• Breakdown of the Regiment battery exercise program
• Strategies for learning music more effectively and in more detail
• Musical excerpts from past Regiment shows
• A look inside the Regiment Percussion Ensemble

Training sessions vary based on the length of the camp or clinic. A typical schedule is listed below for reference. Please consult your registration materials for the official schedule pertaining to your camp.

College & High-school aged, current and future percussionists are invited to participate in PR Academy camps.

Processing Fees
Participants will use UltraCamp (Phantom Regiment’s registration portal) to register and pay camp fees. PLEASE NOTE: If paying via credit card, there will be a 2.5% processing fee; ACH payments will incur a 1% processing fee.
Refund Policies and Procedures
Camp fees are fully refundable (minus processing fees) through May 15. Camp fees can be refunded 50% between May 16 and June 1. Beginning June 2, camp fees are non-refundable unless approved by the administration on a case-by-case basis. All refunds will be processed within 30 days of the written request.
If a camper is dismissed from the camp for cause (violation of federal law, state law, organization or campus rules or policies, or for disciplinary reasons), no refunds will be given.
*Camp fees are not tax-deductible.
Yes! Band Directors can arrange for their school, booster club, or any other third party to pay for a student’s attendance.
