Check out the NIU link below (click and then scroll down) for the official announcement of Tom Bough’s hiring at NIU.

Tom was a contra player in the corps in 1986 and 1987. After his drum corps years he went on to receive an undergraduate degree at Southwest Missouri State and then a graduate degree from Arizona State University.

In an email to Regiment corps director Pat Seidling, Tom states “I am very proud of my affiliation with the Phantom Regiment, and look forward to renewing old ties from my drum corps days.”

Phantom Regiment is excited to have Tom back in the area and looks forward to supporting his efforts with the NIU Marching Huskies.

NIU is one of the fastest growing major universities in Illinois and has long been a supporter of drum corps activities.

Located just 30 minutes south of Rockford, NIU has been the college of choice for many Phantom Regiment members, from long-time Regiment brass arranger and DCI Hall of Famer Jim Wren to current members Lindsay Kuzmierczak and Kathy Dyer.

Tom can be reached via email at [email protected] or by contacting the NIU music department.
