The Phantom Regiment family is mourning the loss of Concetta (Savino) Culp. Concetta was a member of the color guard in 1996 and 1997. She then taught the Regiment’s feeder corps, the Phantom Legion in 1999, where she started dating Rich Culp, an alumni of the Regiment contrabass section (1994-1999). The two married in 2003. Concetta was an orthopedic surgical nurse for several years, working in Anniston, AL. Rich describes her as a consummate professional who made a positive difference in her patients’ lives. She successfully fought melanoma for several years before succumbing to its effects on April 21st. There will be a memorial service on May 8th at 3:00 p.m., at the Church of the Good Shepherd 461 Choccolocco Rd. Anniston, Alabama.

The Phantom Regiment family is also mourning the loss of John Seay. John was a member of the Regiment percussion section in 2005 and 2006 and taught the percussion section in 2007. John had previously marched in the Magic of Orlando and the Madison Scouts and was a graduate of The University of Central Florida. He worked at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando while also finding time to teach the Timber Creek Indoor Drumline. John was engaged to be married to Autumn Hassell in the fall. Services were held on April 25th and 26th in Apopka, Florida.
