Kellie Simerly is excited to be on visual staff with the Phantom Regiment for the 2020 season. She marched euphonium in the Phantom Regiment from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, Kellie served as the euphonium section leader and movement captain. In 2019, Kellie returned on administrative staff. Residing in Omaha, NE, Kellie attends the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is in their Doctor of Physical Therapy program, where she will graduate in 2022. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Kellie gained a wide range of dance skills through competitive dancing from ages 5 to 17 and has utilized those skills throughout her marching and teaching career. Since the fall of 2018, Kellie has been working with the Millard West High School Marching Band as their choreographer. Kellie has helped bring the program the award of Best Visual Program in the state of Nebraska for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. She has also spent three years on visual staff with Crossroads Percussion in Des Moines, IA. When not teaching, Kellie loves to spend time volunteering in her community and walking her dog.
