After graduation, Leah went on to become apart of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corp in 2009, 2010, and aging out in 2011. She was fortunate enough to be the dance soloist for the Blue Knights in 2010 and 2011 and went back on staff for the Blue Knights in 2012 as the dance technician for the colorguard. Leah also marched winterguard with Code Black Winterguard in 2009 and Cypress Independent Winterguard from 2010-2012 also, being fortunate enough to be the dance soloist for both organizations. In the midst of drum corp and winter guard, Leah was also able to maintain a college career and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2013 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. Leah extended her knowledge of different styles of dance when she began to work for Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 2013 as a ballroom dance professional. Leah is a national finalist in the Closed Smooth and Mixed Novice divisions and a regional champion of Texas in Open Smooth, Closed Smooth, Closed Rhythm and Mixed Novice divisions. She also gained many Top Female Teacher awards at almost every regional competition and Runner Up Top Circuit Teacher for 2015 during her time at Fred Astaire. Leah recently left her career at Fred Astaire when her colorguard heart was re opened early in 2017.
