Ramon Ruiz


Ramon Ruiz is a Georgia native born in Atlanta but raised and currently living in Kennesaw, GA. He attended and graduated from Hillgrove High School and is now a business student at Kennesaw State University. Before colorguard, Ramon actually played trombone for 9 years. He competed with his high school competitive marching program, lead in the wind ensemble, and attended various honor band/music clinics across the country.

His colorguard career started at Paramount Winterguard in 2015 where he continued in the program through the next 5 years where they received a silver and gold medal in world class. During the summer, Ramon marched with the Madison Scouts in 2015 and 2016 and aged-out in 2017 with the Carolina Crown. After aging-out, Ramon had the privilege of joining the Boston Crusaders during their 2019 tour as part of their administration team. Now he directs the program at Carrollton High School in Carrollton, GA and has been teaching in the city of Carrollton for the last 5 years.

This will be Ramon’s first year with the Phantom Regiment and is extremely honored to share his knowledge with this new team.
