Zachariah Davis is currently Doctoral of Music student in Trombone Performance and also serves as a Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas. His primary teachers include Dr. Natalie Mannix, Dr. Cory Mixdorf, Professor James T. Decker, and Dr. Christopher J. Smith.
Prior to his enrollment at the University of North Texas Mr. Davis graduated with degrees in Music Performance and Music Education from the University of Arkansas and Texas Tech University respectively. Mr. Davis has performed with the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, Opera Fayetteville, Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorus, Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Lubbock Moonlight Musicals, and the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. He was recently featured as a soloist with the University of North Texas Trombone Consortium and was invited to the final rounds of the United States Army “Pershing’s Own” Concert Band bass trombone audition. He can be heard on the University of North Texas Wind Symphony’s upcoming CD, “Hope.”
