Chers Phans,
Dear Phans, this past week has been another spectacular one with the Phantom Regiment!
On Wednesday, we had the opportunity of going to the Perkins Stadium at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. It is always great to have a huge stadium to fill up with our performance energy, as opposed to a small scaffolding on a grass field. The corps was able to spend nearly the entire day in ensemble rehearsal, and we got a lot of large, quality repetitions in, including about four full runs of everything we know.
In the past two days, the Phantomettes have gotten the whole ballad on the field with drill, which is a huge accomplishment. Unfortunately, tonight’s ensemble rehearsal was rained out, so we were unable to do it with the rest of the drum corps as a completed production.
Tonight we also got to try on this years costumes! They are absolutely beautiful, and are so perfect for the show. Unfortunately, I am unable to divulge many details about the color guard costumes, but trust that they look “phantastique”!!
We are currently writing down all of our drill for the next section of the show, and everyone is so excited to move forward with our production!
