The NIU Concert Band Festival, presented by the Phantom Regiment is this Friday – March 1st from 9am to 3:30pm. Family, fans & friends are welcome to attend this free festival.
This is the 2nd annual concert band festival held in the beautiful Boutell Memorial Concert Hall on he campus of Northern Illinois University. The festival is open to middle and high school groups. Plus, there will be a special performance by the NIU Wind Symphony.
This is an educational non-competitive festival where the students will be heard by: Major Bryan Miller (Air National Guard Band of the Midwest), Steve Squires (Roosevelt University) and Dr. Thomas Bough (Northern Illinois University).
This event is FREE and open to the public. We only ask that you respect each groups performance by only entering the concert hall between performances. (There is a fee for parking and it’s a short walk away – so plan ahead).
