The Phantom Regiment mourns the loss of Vicki Parkes Auditore who passed away Sunday, November 10th from breast cancer. Vicki was a beloved marching member and part of the color guard staff in the late 70’s and 80’s and forever a fan of the Phantom Regiment.

The Auditore family has created a scholarship named in honor of Vicki. The scholarship will be awarded prior to June 1, to the guard member that most exemplifies the skills, spirit, attitude and perseverance and drive that Vicki showed during her life in drum corps through her professional life and motherhood.

“We all know how important drum corps and Phantom Regiment were in Vicki’s life,” says Vicki’s husband Steve Auditore, “not just as an activity, but in providing opportunities, values and experiences that could make her the best person possible.”

A celebration service for Vicki’s remarkable life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 East Thruston in Oakwood. Attendees are encouraged to wear colorful clothing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “Phantom Regiment – Vicki Parkes Auditore Scholarship” fund.
