Phantom Regiment has a long history of excellence in brass performance and pedagogy, and now you can experience it in-person with this summers Educational Brass Camp, held June 10-13 in Rockford, IL.
The camp offers many experiences that you won’t find anywhere else. All aspects of brass pedagogy are covered, with topics that will benefit nearly every level of performer. In addition to the “brass basics” of articulation, tone, technique, and flexibility, students have the opportunity to learn breathing techniques from caption head Christian Carichner (trained in all aspects of The Breathing Gym directly from the authors), leadership from Lance Laduke (trombonist with Boston Brass) and how to elevate your performance to the highest levels from Freddy Martin (nationally-renown educator, judge, and clinician).
Participants will observe first-hand the work ethic that Phantom Regiment members put into their show by watching rehearsals, participating in fundamentals, rehearsing side-by-side with the corps, and best of all, the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform WITH the Phantom Regiment! Also unique this year is attendance at Regiments “Music in the Park” concert, where the Regiment will perform a full concert with Lance LaDuke at a beautiful local park in Rockford, IL.
The camp runs for four days in June and both registration and more information can be found on the web at www.regiment.org/camps/brass. Don’t miss out on this jam-packed camp!
