Adam Dalton was born and raised in Martinsville, VA. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music Education from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Upon graduation, Adam moved to Georgia to take a position as Assistant Director of Bands at Milton High School in Alpharetta, GA where he was also the coordinator of color guards for the program. After two years with the program, he left to teach elementary school band at two area schools and started Creativa Designs, a design and consultation company for marching bands, winter guards, and other pageantry activities.

Adam’s marching experience includes three years with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2002-2004) where he was a member of the color guard. While at The Cavaliers, Adam was a member of the weapon line and also won a gold medal for I&E Auxiliary Ensemble. In winter guard, Adam was fortunate to be a charter member of The Study Winter Guard (2002-2004) from Bassett, VA where he helped the group achieve promotion status in the three years of his membership. Adam is currently in his second year marching with The Phantom Regiment Winter Guard in Atlanta, GA.

This will be Adam’s first season on staff with The Phantom Regiment Drum Corps. He was previously the weapon designer for The Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. When not teaching or performing in color guard, Adam enjoys playing music, teaching his elementary schools students, and going to the gym.
